Goodbye Kisiki :'(

13th of March 2013 -  Our last morning in Kisiki College, Namutumba, Uganda.

It was a sad goodbye to all the wonderful friends we made over the last 7 weeks.  Kisiki College had a great impact on us and truly opened our eyes to the outside world.
We have seen and experienced so much like:

  • The culture
  • Food
  • Housing
  • Toilets (latrines :o)
  • Got in touch with the wildlife (rats, ants, frogs, lizards, cockroaches and grasshoppers)
  • People
  • Muzungu
  • Markets
  • Towns
  • Time keeping
  • Cities
  • Ugandan buses, taxis and boda boda men
  • Clubs
  • Health care system (throw as many drugs as you can at people)
  • Teaching

Everything basically!

It's something that we'll never forget and it has shaped us as people and really changed our outlook on the world! It has really made us appreciate the structure and order in English life!

Saying that we can't wait to return to Uganda again one day however, being in Dubai has really made us appreciate the finer things in life!

Our final supper at Kisiki college! Sitting with Headmistress (Irene) and James at the top table!
Sophie and Megan giving there final thank you and goodbye speech!
Juice night in our rat free but sofa-less living room!( Megan, Sophie, Annet, Racheal and Hiro)
Sophie, Hiro (Japanese exchange teacher) and Megan doing there Judo moves!
Saying goodbye to our african mother Ritah!
 Saying goodbye to Kisiki College!
The two terrible muzungus and the terrific african looking so attractive on the bus to Kampala!
